This poncho style Lead Apron fastens with a shoulder buckle, and secures at the side via a hook and loop closure. Customers may specify their preferred side for opening/shoulder release. Our external lumbar support belt is included to aid with weight distribution.

Aprons may open on one shoulder or both to enable an easy approach when removing the apron. This apron design is particularly beneficial for those with reduced shoulder mobility, as only movements along the anterior sagittal plane are required to don and remove.

With its partially overlapping front panels, the SFX CV2 Overlap Lead Apron and kilt is another option that is suitable for virtually all body shapes.

Once closed, a ‘per panel value’ of 0.25mmLE, 0.35mmLE or 0.50mmLE will be achieved; respectively, 0.50mmLE, 0.70mmLE or 1.0mmLE, will be achieved in the middle overlapping areas.

SFX coat style lead apron – full overlap

This one piece apron has two fully overlapping front
panels. This design allows the required protection to be
split between the front panels to create a lighter garment.
Full overlap aprons are most suited to slim body types.
Once closed, a ‘finished value’ of 0.35mmLE, 0.50mmLE
or 0.70mmLE can be achieved.
The coat style apron incorporates all necessary protection
in one garment, making it quick and easy to don, remove
and store. To maximise comfort and support for the
wearer, customised shoulder pads and an internal belt
are also built into its design.
Current standards recommend a minimum frontal
coverage of 0.25mmLE for light duty aprons, and
0.35mmLE for heavy duty aprons.
